Rakhi

Yesterday was Rakhi festival in India.

Raksha Bandhan (रक्षा बन्धन) is a Hindu festival that celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters; It is called Rakhi Purnima (Rakhi Pournami) or simply Rakhi, in many parts of India. Raksha Bandhan in Sanskrit literally means "the tie or knot of protection". Women shop for Rakhi, a thread to tie around her brother's wrist. Some women make their own Rakhi. A Rakhi may be a simple thread, woven and colorful or may be intricate with decoration on top of it. Sometimes, a Rakhi may be a fancy wrist watch or men's wrist accessory in the form of bracelet or jewelry. Rakhi in the form of a colorful woven thread is most common.

Rakhi is my favorite festival. In India, this day, the streets are shining by the wrists of men and boys with bracelets given by their sisters, they perform a beautiful ceremony when tie the bracelets on their brothers wrists. Is just magic.

I only have one brother, when i was 5 years old and started elementary school, i was only child in my family, until that moment i was sharing my small life with my aunts, grandparents and parents.
It was then, seeing me rounded by classmates talking all the time about their siblings, when i decided that i wanted a brother, yes, not a sister, i wanted a brother. So i told mom i wanted an elder brother, she explained how that was not posible, and in that moment, we didn't know but actually, my elder brother came after some months ( because no matter the age, he has always been older than me.
It was when Juan Miguel came to our lives. I remember first time i saw him, he was born few minutes before and was in my mom´s arms. He was huge, sooo white and with those awesome open green eyes.

Since then i can't help it, i huge him so much every time he is around. He grew up to become a handsome, honest talented, creative, and charmingly intolerant man with a golden heart....

Or not...
He didnt grew up to became those things because he was all those things since i met him.

We saw the sea together for the first time.

We cry together, infront of the door at night when we moved for the first time far from Mamáanita.
We went to our first concert together.
We fought and we reconciled once and again, and again, and again and again. We read each other´s mind, we miss each other.
And millions of such moments.

🐣When we just met:

Few days back 👫

And the rakhi i got for him and i will give him as soon as i see him 😊

Fuimos a nuestro primer concierto juntos.
